Hi, all! As you may be aware, book banning is at an all time — and alarming — high. The American Library Association reports that in 2022 a record 1,269 demands were made to restrict or ban books and other materials in schools and libraries — up from 156 demands in 2020. (Source: L.A.Times.) And that is only 2022 — we’ve seen more in 2023. (Now including Amanda Gorman’s inauguration poem.)
What can we do? Read Banned Books, of course, but on Saturday, we can take part in the nationwide Zinn Education Project Teach Truth March, which is happening starting at 10:30— in front of our shop! Ms. Destiny will have a table outside with information, books, poster making materials, and IG props and frames for photos, so come get involved! At 11:30 there will be a call to action, and we will march down to the library.

Please join us for this very, very important event, and stand up to censorship!
