Undeservedly, women veterans continue to experience a lack of recognition. And worse, they face significant barriers and challenges in accessing necessary health care and other services. Also, because they are usually overlooked by everyone, they frequently struggle to even consider themselves as veterans.
Vallejo’s women veterans will be honored with a short ceremony and presented with various certificates of appreciation at the
Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum on 734 Marin St., Vallejo.
Are you a woman veteran and Vallejo resident who deserves recognition? Send your name, address, and phone number to Nestor.Aliga@comcast.net by March 1.
