The Vallejo Sister City Annual Meeting and Open House is just around the corner! January 14, 1-5 p.m., come join us at the Vallejo Room at the former JFK Children’s Library at 505 Santa Clara Street here in Vallejo.
It’s an amazing, free admission opportunity to experience food and live performances from a variety of different cultures and the opportunity to win international food certificates to local restaurant favorites right here in Vallejo. This event is a fantastic time to come together and celebrate different cultures and learn more about the Vallejo Sister City Movement and to consider joining our fabulous committee of citizens promoting intercultural and interpersonal relationships with our fellow friendship and sister cities.
Currently, Vallejo has seven sister cities including Trondheim, Norway; Akashi, Japan; La Spezia, Italy; Baguio in the Philippines; Bagamoyo, Tanzania; Jincheon, South Korea and soon to be official, Ensenada, Mexico. We also have three friendship cities in Muju, South Korea; Rota in the Northern Mariana Islands; Parun, Afghanistan and Ensenada Mexico. Since 1960, the Vallejo Sister City Association has been dedicated to cooperating with its friendship and sister communities through humanitarian efforts, the promotion of peace as well as understanding and mutual respect of cultures. Come join us January 14 th to learn more about our organization and how you can be apart of this amazing journey.
