Career exploration – workshop for teens

Career exploration - workshop for teens
The Vallejo John F. Kennedy Library (505 Santa Clara, Vallejo, CA) proudly announces its successful partnership with The Vallejo Project in delivering impactful community programs. Notably, the after school Homework Help Center (grades K-6) has thrived under the guidance of Vallejo Project and their dedicated teen volunteers.
In a continued commitment to providing quality programming for Vallejo teens, both organizations are thrilled to unveil a series of workshops starting this January. The inaugural cluster, scheduled for three Mondays in January 2024, will feature speakers from diverse fields. These experts will share insights into their professions, their career journeys, and the positive impact of their work.
Highlighting the series, the library is honored to host the Mayor of Vallejo on January 29th. The third workshop in the series will focus on introductory financial literacy skills tailored for teens.
Adjoa McDonald from Vallejo Project and Starry N. Eigenman, Teen Services Librarian at Vallejo JFK Library, express their excitement about granting students access to these enlightening events. They urge the community to help spread the word by displaying the attached flyer on campuses and within the community.
