Join us for a tree workshop Saturday, Dec 9

Join us December 9 from 10am to 3pm to help the Vallejo Project prepare their garden space for the new year. Vallejo Project’s Unity Garden volunteers are looking for community members interested in assisting us with creating a helping replant trees, finishing up a drip irrigation system, and preparing the garden’s annual vegetable plot for over-wintering.

This public, hands-on garden workday will help us to improve the soil and trees in the garden’s orchard area, part of the demonstration food forest at the Transformation Village in Vallejo. This is a great opportunity to learn about permaculture, food forests, earthworks, and other local gardening projects.

This project is in partnership with the Transformation Village and the Vallejo Project.

• Wear closed toe shoes, sun protection, bring gloves and water
• Lunch will be provided
• Bring your own lunch if you have special dietary needs
• Please wear closed toe shoes and sun protection! (i.e. hat and sunscreen)
• You will NOT need a copy of your ticket.
• If you are under 18: your legal guardian must sign a release of liability when you check-in.
