Special City Council Meeting – Possible introduction of Police Oversight Ordinance

Special City Council Meeting - Possible introduction of Police Oversight Ordinance

The City Council, the Vallejo Police Department, and City Leadership staff have made a firm commitment to our ongoing police reform efforts. One of the key aspects of the ongoing efforts is the establishment of a model of independent oversight for the Vallejo Police Department. As a result, the following upcoming meeting dates have been established.

  • Monday, December 12, 2022 (Workshop) @ 6 pm
  • Thursday, December 15, 2022 (Possible introduction of the ordinance) @ 6 pm
  • Tuesday, December 20, 2022 (Possible adoption of POM ordinance) @ 6 pm

The meetings will be held at Vallejo City Hall, 555 Santa Clara Street, in City Council Chambers.

Please visit MyVallejo.com/POM to learn more about POM, and be sure to subscribe to the page to receive the latest updates.

City Council meetings are now hybrid in-person and on Zoom.
Agendas can be viewed on the City Agendas & Videos webpage and are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance for regular meetings and 24 hours in advance for special meetings.

There will be a video link at the left of the agenda page once the meeting begins. This will also serve as a future archive of the meeting. For better live video performance, use the direct Zoom link found in the first paragraph of the agenda window, on the second tab.

City Council meetings are also broadcast on Vallejo’s cable channel, VCAT

The city has made an instructional video about commenting here:
