Osprey Days – Guided Birding Tours

Join Naturalist Marcia Grefsrud for an Osprey Walk in the Mare Island Preserve to View Nesting, Fishing, Feeding, Flying and Perching Osprey and other nesting birds.

Marcia Grefsrud is a gracious, knowledgeable and easy-going Mare Island Preserve naturalist, as well as an employee of the CA Department of Fish and Wildlife, in her day job. You are assured of a really engaging walk in which you will learn about osprey and all things wild! Marcia will meet you at the Preserve parking lot for the 1/2-mile walk as far as the Rowser Garden. Bring binoculars, (will you share or bring an extra pair?), a scope and camera if you have them and wish to, wear hiking gear and bring water for the 1-mile round trip, or to continue on further in the Preserve.

Meet at the Mare Island Preserve parking lot. Dead end of Azuar Dr. at the south end of Mare Island. FREE. No reservation required. Call/text 707-249-96
