At this meeting, we will conduct part 1 of the Art of Effective Evaluation. It is part of Toastmaster’s Internationals Successful Communication Series. Tatsuya Nakagawa said that
“A good or great evaluation should do the following:

1. inspire the person receiving it to new heights.
2. give the recipient specific information that can be used constructively.
3. encourage the person to seek additional input and evaluation.
4. maintain the person’s respect and build your relationship based on trust.” He also stated that Toastmasters “sandwich evaluation technique…can be used to give a killer evaluation that will leave the recipient in a positive state.”
