Since Vallejo has limited options for launching in the bay and the Napa River, plus members asking for other options besides Dan Foley park, we will be paddling at Lake Solano this Sunday at 12 noon until about 3 PM. Since this location is too far to take the kayak trailer we will be loading kayaks on top of our vehicles for this trip. Charles has volunteered to take his truck for those who do not have a vehicle or cannot safely load a kayak on your vehicle. we always asked that members try to load kayaks on their vehicles anyway, as we need to practice to make this sport widely accessible to everyone. We will provide the required PFD, paddles, and gear that you need.
Please bring sunscreen and water as the forecasted temperature is 82° on Sunday.
If possible bring a $10 donation for the group, as our insurance is due next week.
Please post here for any questions you have. You may pick up gear and a kayak Friday or Saturday morning.
We will meet and launch on Putah Creek Road that parallels lake Solano and I will post photos of the directions on the event page.
BTW, please wear masks when around others, until you get in your kayak?
