VALLEJO, CA – Griffin Technology Academies, a family network of four exceptional, tuition-free charter schools serving
the Vallejo community, is hosting a New Family Lunch & Enrollment Open House on Saturday, January 28.
A social lunch for new families to meet current families and staff will begin at 1:00 p.m. Families are encouraged to
learn more about the enrollment and admissions process at an open house beginning at 2:00 p.m. Both events are FREE
to the public and will be held at MIT Academy located at 2 Positive Place in Vallejo.
“We are excited to kick-off our new student enrollment period and invite families from around Vallejo to learn more
about our amazing schools,” said Superintendent Nick Driver. “We recognize parents have a tough decision choosing the
best school for their child. That’s why we are encouraging prospective families to meet members of our school
community and get their questions answered. We are confident that GTA schools will meet parent expectations and
student needs.”
Griffin Technology Academies includes two middle schools and two high schools serving Vallejo students in grades six
through twelve. New enrollment for the 2023-24 academic year begins now and extends through February 24, 2023.
Should GTA receive more enrollment applications than space allows, then per State law, a Public Lottery will be held on
February 25, 2023 to determine which students will be enrolled.
Everyone attending the social lunch and enrollment open house will be entered into a drawing to receive FREE school
swag items. During the open house, parents will be provided with the necessary enrollment information, a detailed
admissions process and on-hand support to enroll their students.
“Our mission is to prepare students to be ready for college, career, and life through diverse, innovative instructional
programs that focus relentlessly on student academic achievement and social and emotional well-being,” explained
Driver. “We offer students four amazing schools to fit their grade level and academic pursuits. We are looking forward
to welcoming new families to the GTA school community.”
