Even a pagan Epicurean would feel welcome. After checking out all the food being served, I settled on the Leg of Lamb, done perfectly Medium Rare, char marks indicating it was cooked over live coals, served with rice and green beans, the latter being a bit overdone for my taste, but still quite deliciously rendered with a chunky tomato sauce. With my lunch I had a glass of Greek Red Table Wine–didn’t get the name, but judging from the label, produced by a cooperative in Greece. Then for dessert, homemade baklava and Greek Coffee. Some of the best food around is served at church functions like this one. All my friends in Vallejo, consider checking it out.”
