Genealogy Society Meeting & speaker event “Funeral Customs and Traditions”

Genealogy Society Meeting & speaker event “Funeral Customs and Traditions”
Our  Thursday February 1st meeting will be talking about Funeral Customs and Traditions.  John Passalaqua from Passalacqua Funeral Chapel will speak in person.  John completed the program of study at the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, and opened the firm shortly afterwards. With over 30 years of experience, John can guide families of all walks of life during their darkest days. It’s important to take the time to acknowledge the uniqueness of the deceased: the individuality of their personality, and the uniqueness of their life’s path. Not just for them, but for you; it affirms the relationship, and leads to healing after loss. Honoring their life is truly an act of love – for the both of you. Let’s find out how it was done in the past, and how different cultures say good-bye to their family and friends.
This meeting will NOT be on Zoom.
The event location is at Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum at 734 Marin Street in Vallejo California.
The meeting starts at 1:30 pm Pacific Time.  Masks are encouraged but not required.
The event is FREE.  All are welcome.
