Many Vallejo residents lost precious pieces of pottery and china in the earthquake–pieces that hold memories or mark important family milestones. The Hub and mosaic artist Sherry Tobin invite the public to join us this Saturday afternoon from 3-7pm to create personal mosaic wall art out of their pieces of pottery and china lost in the earthquake. Please bring your broken pieces of pottery, china, and mirrors with you, all other supplies to complete your earthquake mosaic will be provided. Additionally, Sherry will be creating a statue to be installed at St Vinnie’s Community Garden and is accepting community donations of broken pottery and china to become part of the statue. She will also need extra hands to help apply the mosaic pieces to this community project. To attend, please RSVP using the Facebook link below. Potluck finger food contributions welcome.
