Dog Walker Orientation & Training

Dog Walker Orientation & Training

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Humane Society of the North Bay. From our foster families to event leads (and everything in between), our volunteers are essential to our mission.

Dog walkers are needed every day of the year to give our dogs the exercise, attention and enrichment that is so important for their health and happiness. By joining HSNB’s team of dedicated dog walkers, you’ll build strong relationships with other like-minded volunteers, the animal-loving community, and of course, the dogs. You can volunteer at your convenience – we just ask for a min. 4 hr. commitment per month. Whatever time you have to share will make the lives of the homeless pets better while they wait for their forever families.

This orientation is specific to volunteers who wish to walk and care for dogs. It will last approx. 60-90 minutes, and will provide a hands-on training showing you how to work with dogs living in the shelter.
If you have any questions, please email volunteer@hsnb.org or call 707-645-7905.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
