Does your child love to sing? Campanelli Children’s Choir is holding open auditions for children 7-14 years old. Children with or without musical experience are welcome to join. Campanelli is a diverse, enthusiastic Vallejo area group of young people who come together under expert direction to learn musical skills, perform, and have fun. Here are just a few reasons you’ll want your child to join our choir:
– Campanelli provides exceptional leadership through Artistic Director Matthew Walsh. He believes that all children deserve the best life experieces and that, through CAMPANELLI , children learn to strive for excellence for themselves while working effectively with others. Under his leadership children realize both the sense of accomplishment and the lifelong joy which can be experienced through music.
– Mr. Walsh holds the Bachelor of Music degree from Lone Mountain College and the Masters in Music from the University of Michigan. He also received the Specialist Certificate in Kodály Music Education from Holy Names University where he now teaches music history and counterpoint. He is a recognized choral expert who has lead professional and volunteer choirs in concert and recording.
– Choral singing improves attention span, focus, comprehension, and can even help students excel in school. Singing with others builds confidence and discipline – children who learn to sing in choir often become high achievers in other areas. Campanelli provides a non-competitive environment in which children make lasting friendships, strive for excellence, and create beauty.

Campanelli is a choral singing education program sponsored by the VALLEJO CHORAL SOCIETY. We rehearse on Monday afternoon 5:45-7:00 from September through early June.
