California Numismatic Seminar – 6th Annual

California Numismatic Seminar - 6th Annual

The Northern California Numismatic Association (NCNA) reports that its popular Sixth (6th) Annual California Numismatic Seminar shall be on Saturday, September 14, 2019, returning to the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum, 734 Marin at Capital, in downtown Vallejo, California. Registration would begin at 8:30 AM, with program opening at 9:30 AM. Admission is FREE.

The theme for this one day Seminar is ‘Transportation Numismatics’, and four hobby celebrants and professionals have been invited. In tentative order, they are:

Geoffrey Bell, Canadian coin activist, researcher, and dealer
Jeffery L. ‘Jeff’ Shevlin, ‘the So-Called Dollar Guy’
Kyle W. Lubke, young coin dealer at age 24 plus hobby activist, and
Matthew L. Malvini, young at age 19 coin enthusiast

Each would have a presentation reviewing some aspect of coins, medals, tokens, and paper money with a ‘transportation’ image, design, and story. The exact titles would be announced later. These four presenters will also join together for a moderated panel discussion and exchange closing the Seminar, welcoming questions from the audience.

Adding to this all-day Seminar, there would be Door Prizes, free hobby information, something for any young hobbyists attending, an onsite luncheon service, free admission to the Museum, and the onsite California State Numismatic Association (CSNA) Numismatic Library open.

“In the past five years, NCNA has made its annual Seminars a major informative and interesting presence in organized numismatics, not just in northern California but a presence enhancing numismatic enlightenment. The 2019 Seminar adds to one’s numismatic edification and enjoyment,” commented ‘Doctor’ Lloyd G. Chan, current Northern California Numismatic Association (NCNA) President.

Patrons, financially supporting these annual Seminars, are welcomed. There are two levels, ‘Gold Miner’ and ‘Prospector’. Details can be learned at the emails given below. Written inquiries can be mailed to ‘PO Box 4104, Vallejo, California, 94590-0410’.

Updates will be posted on, and inquiries can be to either or or at 707-246-6327.
