Visions of the Wild | Restoring our Lands, Re-Vitalizing our Communities

 An uplifting series of short videos and talks will highlight the great work of various partners to improve our ecosystems locally, regionally and across the state. Deputy Regional Forester Barnie Gyant of the U.S. Forest Service will speak and and answer questions about the agency’s focus on restoring ecosystem health in California’s national forests.

Other highlights include:

  • The amazing story of the Winnemem Wintu project to restore native salmon runs in the Sacramento River.
  • Holly Irene Cardoza will be talking about the Run4Salmon and previewing the Dancing Salmon Home film project.
  • The large-scale restoration of wetlands along the north shore of San Pablo Bay (Highway 37).
  • Efforts to bring back the unique Antioch Dunes in the Sacramento River Delta.
  • Working with young people to improve our watersheds in Vallejo and throughout Solano County.
