The Union of Black & Native American People

Valentine’s day is a day of loving, celebrating and learning to continue to connect in all ways. On February 14, 2018, at the JFK Library Joseph Room from 6-8:30p we celebrate Black History with the inclusion of our Native American heritage. How did we connect with the Native Americans? Did we walk the Trail of Tears? Are we recognized? Mr. Mark Harrison Citizen of the Cherokee Nation will be there speaking about our journey our union as a people. It is a different and intriguing twist on our Black history.

I found Mark to be a wealth of knowledge that will have you yearning for more. Mr. Horacio Jones will speak about Black history “We’ve Come This Far By Faith”. I invite you to come out and explore both parts of Black history…from Africa to America to the union of an African people with the Native American people. Tell a friend it will be inspiring!
