Stage Presence and the Power of Emotions

The Hub

In this class, the students will experience, through exercises and games, the power of truly being on stage and what it is like to able to feel and express real emotion while up there, in the moment. In this class we will work on focus, intention, following direction, connecting and keeping your audience, the arch of a story and how to get rid of that annoying, little, chattering voice inside our heads that keeps us from fully committing to our efforts. Students are invited to bring a prepared piece (dance, song, scene, act, etc. ) which we will see at the beginning of class and then again, hopefully much improved, at the end.

Instructor: Sandey Grinn, known to TV viewers as “T.J. Kincaid’ on Kung Fu – The Legend Continues or “Bill der Beaver” on Hallmark’s Zoobilee Zoo and to California Renaissance Faire Folk as a founding member of the comedy troupes Cock and Feathers and Salami Del Amore, has worked professionally as an actor, musician, puppeteer, and writer for most of his life.
