Unleash Your Inner Artist! Join us for a painting/embroidery party where you will create a beautiful piece of art. We will walk you thorough a step-by-step process that is easy to follow and will ensure that you take home a finished and beautiful piece of artwork. Even if you never thought you could paint or embroider, we guarantee that you will have fun and create a nice piece of art all at the same time.
All materials (aprons, paint, embroidery supplies, canvas, brushes) provided. Appetizers and complimentary wine will be included.
Must be 21+ years of age.
Time: 2 hour workshop.
Cost: $35 per person.
Limit: 10 Participants.
All proceeds will go to continued community programing at El Comalito Collective.
About the artist:
Edgar-Arturo Camacho-González is a Queer Xicano actor, activist, and artist, originarío de Jalisco, México. Edgar-Arturo is the lead protagonist of Sin Visa, an independent film. He writes and paints as a form of expression and activism to engage his communities through a decolonial lens. Edgar-Arturo studied Sociology at CSU, Sacramento and has received his counseling credentials in Substance Use and Mental Health. Edgar-Arturo’s poetry appears in Queer in Aztlán: Chicano Male Recollections of Consciousness and Coming Out and he is currently working on a full-length collection of poetry. Edgar-Arturo currently lives and works in Vallejo, CA.
