Poets Bill Vartnaw and Kim Shuck

Vallejo Bookstore, located at 628 Marin Street, will feature Northern California poets Bill Vartnaw and Kim Shuck reading selections from their work on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.  This all-ages event is free to the public.

Bill Vartnaw founded Taurean Horn Press in 1974.  His collections of poetry include “Suburbs of My Childhood” and “In Concern: For Angels.”  He served for two years as the Poet Laureate of Sonoma County from 2012 to 2013.  He has been active as a poet for over thirty-five years.

Kim Shuck describes herself as a “poet, weaver, educator, doer of piles of laundry, planter of seeds, traveler and child wrangler.”  Her books include “Rabbit Stories” and she contributed work featured at Vallejo’s much-loved local poetry café Listen and Be Heard.
