McCune Collection Lecture: Jack London and his Camera

Best known as a writer of red-blooded adventure tales, Jack London was also a journalist, traveler, social activist and prolific photographer. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of London’s death in November, 1916, local historian and scholar Michael S. Turrini  discusses one of the beloved author’s lesser known talents. Producing nearly twelve thousand photographs during his all-too-brief lifetime, London was a prescient, timely genius whose work helped define the photojournalistic form.
