Russian River Kayak outing

kayaks and canoe at the Guest Dock

See the event on Facebook for the latest updates

The Russian River paddle will require driving your own vehicle, and possibly transporting yours, or one of our kayaks. We would leave earlier for this – about 9 am. We will provide the gear if you do not have it:)

Keep an eye out for the logistics and details here, in the next couple of days please,The weather looks great for Sunday!

How about an early departing time – 9am?
We can meet at the kayak yard – 508 Ohio st at 8 am to load up and drive down together by 9 am.

We will drive to Jenner- directions on the comments section. There is no charge for parking or launching, with a beach nearby. We will paddle up the river and back down. We will paddle as far up as we can, hopefully to Cassinis – less than 5 miles. Groups of at least 2 can paddle back down to Jenner and the beach. Please bring water, snacks, change of clothes, and a lunch if possible, also an umbrella to play around with helping to propel you up the river, as the little wind in the forecast is to blow in that direction, plus the umbrella has the benefit of blocking the sun when desired:) I am also bring a kite or 2, so feel free to try your skill at kite-kayaking.

$2-$10 donation to the group, plus help with gas money to those who drive and transport kayaks would be helpful:)

If you havent had any “assisted rescue training” (practice getting in a kayak from the water), you will be expected to do this at the Russian River with the help of our group.
Please also wear layers of as much non-cotton clothing as possible for warmth.

Thank you for participating!
