CUBAN RHYTHM AND RUMBA STUDIO featuring Cuban instructor, Denmis Bain Savigne. Denmis has choreographed for such people as, Kenny Ortego, Siegfried & Roy, Emilio Estefan, Manuel Mendive, Havana Nights Dance Company, Cirque du Soleil dancers and the Latin Grammy’s. He has toured and performed in more than 16 different countries.
STEP UP MUSIC VALLEJO featuring Austrian multi instrumentalist, composer and music educator, Ariane Cap. Ariane teaches electric and upright bass, piano (classical and Jazz), improvisation, and music theory at the Bay Terrace Theater in Vallejo. She has recorded for Multi Grammy Award winning producer and sound engineer Keith Olsen (Journey, Heart, Fleetwood Mac).
BALLET FOLKLORICO ZEMPOALXOCHITL, Napa’s premiere Ballet Folklorico Dance Company will perform unique and stylized choreography that is representative of the Veracruz and Jalisco regions of Mexico through the art of dance directed by Pete Peralez.
SIMPLY CLASSIC DANCE COMPANY featuring Chondra Renee, a choreographer, professional dancer, and producer. She has been deeply involved in performing arts over the course of 27 years. Her passion for teaching dance was ignited in church around the age of 12. One of Chondra’s main objectives in teaching is to develop her students into artists of dance; so that they may truly connect their lives through the movement in dance.
BODAC CULTURAL GROUP featuring Ghanaian Master Percussionist, Benjamin Ofori. BODAC is an international African traditional drumming, songs, dancing, and performing arts group originated in West Africa, Ghana.
TEAM ANGOLA will perform Capoeira, a martial art that was created nearly 500 years ago in Brazil by African slaves (mainly from Angola). Capoeria combines elements of fight, acrobatics, music, dance and rituals. Performed by two people, it is often called a “game” that is played, not fought.
Spoken Word Artist, Aleisha Readye she is an award‐winning public speaker and debater having competed and traveled with the world‐renown Texas Southern Debate Team. Many of her notable achievements were at the college‐level speech and debate categories of Interpretation and Parliamentary Debate.
