Comedy with Solomon Georgio, Marcella Arguello, and JR De Guzman

Headliner Solomon Georgio burst out of the Seattle comedy scene with his own brand of indignant irreverence. He flawlessly intertwines biting social commentary with stories of his life as an openly gay African immigrant. He is a finalist of NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity, a regular performer at the Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival (Seattle, WA) and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland. Solomon recently had his television debut in February 2015 as the featured comedian on CONAN, and immediately followed it up with an appearance on Last Call with Carson Daily. Marcella Arguello mixes a combination of genuine reason with a sexy suggestion of street. Deemed as “sexually and ethnically ambiguous” she appeals to everyone and is not afraid to tell you how she really feels about subjects concerning race, gender, relationships, family, work, music, pop culture and whatever else is on her mind that day. Marcella recently won the internet on Comedy Central’s @midnight and was featured on Flophouse, a new series on Viceland. In 2015, she was on NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly; her stand up has been highlighted on rapper Tyler, The Creator’s mobile app and most recently on The Real. JR De Guzman seamlessly blends music and comedy to entertain crowds all over the US and abroad, having performed also in France, the Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia. With sharp one-liners and funny songs such as “The Prom Story,” JR serenades audiences into fits of laughter. Both comedians and audiences have described his act as a triple-threat of jokes, songs, and stories. The versatility of his act has allowed him to entertain comedy and music fans alike, having done shows with musicians Jeremy Passion and Pablo Cruise, as well as comedians Tim Allen, Margaret Cho, and Sasheer Zamata. The evening will be hosted by Matt Gubser.
