Summit on Homelessness in Solano County

Vallejo residents are encouraged to participate in an Issue Summit addressing homelessness in Solano County on Monday, December 5. Hosted by the Community Action Partnership of Solano Joint Powers Authority (CAP Solano JPA) and HomeBase, the Issue Summit will focus on developing a Five Year Regional Strategic Plan to respond to homelessness. CAP Solano JPA is a combined governmental agency that is committed to reducing poverty, and is comprised of representatives from each of Solano County’s seven cities. HomeBase is a non-profit organization dedicated to advance solutions to homelessness and decreasing its effect on communities.

During the Issue Summit, participants will hear from stakeholders about successful programs and resources in Solano County, and will also be able to share their thoughts on how to incorporate certain ideas into Solano’s homeless response systems. The following topics will be covered:

  • Creating innovating solutions to increase affordable housing stock
  • Improving navigation through the homeless system of care
  • Serving subpopulations of the homeless community

The Issue Summit will be held at JFK Library, located at 505 Santa Clara Street , from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Click here to RSVP for this event. For more information, click here.
